Woodend has a way of making you want to spend time outside, and this family made sure their backyard was up to the job.
The brief was straightforward: a pool that worked for the kids, looked good from the house and gave them somewhere to actually entertain. The Leisure Pools Acclaim 10 in Graphite Grey delivered all of that. At 10 metres it’s a serious swim, and the Graphite Grey gelcoat sits beautifully against the sandstone-toned paving, the timber fencing and the established native backdrop that surrounds the property.
The pool surround is generous, with room for sun lounges, a couple of umbrellas and enough space that it doesn’t feel crowded when there are people around. The contemporary architecture of the home, with its timber cladding, raked roofline and large glazed openings, called for something that felt considered rather than just functional. Graphite Grey was the right call.
The natural setting does a lot of the work here. Established natives and mature trees frame the space on all sides, giving the backyard a sense of privacy that’s hard to manufacture. The pool fits into it without a fuss.
