Award-Winning Fibreglass pool designs

Fibreglass Pools. Built Tough. Made Simple.

There’s a reason fibreglass is the most popular choice for Aussie backyards. It’s not just a good-looking addition to your outdoor space, it’s one of the smartest choices you can make. Technology That Protects Your Pool for Life

Every Leisure Pool starts with serious engineering behind the scenes. The fibreglass pool construction process uses their patented Composite Armour technology, a blend of Kevlar, Carbon Fibre and Basalt Fibre built into every shell. It’s the same kind of material used in aerospace and body armour, designed to handle the ground movement, temperature swings and tough conditions that come with Australian backyards. On top of that, every layer is built with ViPoxy vinyl ester resin rather than cheaper polyester alternatives, which means better structural strength and genuine protection against osmosis. It’s why Leisure Pools backs every pool with a Lifetime Structural Warranty and a Lifetime Structural Osmosis Warranty.

AQUAGUARD Gelcoat for Vibrant, Long-Lasting Colour

The colour finish on a Leisure Pool isn’t just for show. Their AQUAGUARD gelcoat is specifically formulated for harsh UV, blister and chemical resistance, which matters when your pool is sitting under the Australian sun year after year. The result is a surface that holds its colour and finish without fading, cracking or chalking over time.

Leisure Pools’ patented Composite Armour core uses a blend of Kevlar, Carbon Fibre and Basalt Fibre to give each pool shell serious flexural and tensile strength. In plain terms, it means your pool can handle the ground swelling in wet weather and contracting in drought without cracking or shifting. Backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty, it’s the kind of confidence that comes from knowing what’s actually in the ground, not just what’s sitting on top of it.

Choosing the Right Fibreglass Pool for Your Home

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to selecting the right fibreglass pool. What works for a big family block in Bacchus Marsh is going to look very different to a compact courtyard in Williamstown. That’s why we start every project with a conversation about how you actually want to use your pool, not just what fits. Do the kids need room to play? Are you after something for laps and exercise? Do you want a spa for the cooler months? From there, it’s about matching the right fibreglass pool design to your backyard, your block orientation, your soil conditions and your budget. Troy will walk through all of it during a site visit, so you’re not guessing from a brochure. The right pool is the one that suits your life, not just your yard.

Swimming Pools That Fit Your Family Life

How you use your pool matters more than how it looks in a brochure. Families with young kids will get more out of a splash deck and shallow entry. Couples wanting a place to switch off will lean toward a pool & spa combination they can use all year. If laps and exercise are the priority, a longer rectangular pool with an unobstructed swim corridor is the way to go. And if space is tight, a plunge pool or compact model like The Harmony can still tick all the boxes. We work through all of that with you, because the right pool is the one that matches your life, not just your block.

No two sites are the same out here. Across the West and regional Victoria, we work with reactive clay, sloping blocks, tricky access and councils that all have their own rules. Troy comes out and looks at your yard in person, to figure out what’s going to work and what won’t. It’s a conversation about what’s possible, what makes sense, and how to make the most of your space. That local knowledge makes a real difference when it comes to getting the job done properly.

Why Families Choose Fibreglass Pools?

When you’re weighing up your options, it comes down to what makes sense for your family and your budget.  Fibreglass pools are the most popular choice in Australia for good reason. They cost less to maintain, they’re quicker to install, and they look and feel great from the moment they’re filled. It’s a swimming pool that fits around your life, not the other way around.

Built to Last

Fibreglass pools are engineered to handle the ground movement, temperature swings and harsh UV that come with Australian conditions. The composite shell flexes rather than cracks, holds its colour without fading, and won’t need replastering or retiling down the track. It’s the kind of pool that still looks the part in ten or fifteen years, not just the first summer.

Fast Installation

Most fibreglass pools are installed in weeks, not months. Because the shell is manufactured off-site and delivered ready to go, there’s less disruption, less time with a construction site out the back, and a much shorter wait between signing off and jumping in.

Overhead view of a fibreglass pool edge with dark stone coping, a black and white striped Turkish towel and tortoiseshell sunglasses resting on the poolside paving.

Less Time Maintaining

The non-porous surface of a fibreglass pool means less algae, fewer chemicals and a fraction of the cleaning compared to concrete. No acid washing, no resurfacing every ten years, and no weekends lost to pool upkeep. You want a pool the kids can jump into after school without someone having to prep it first. Fibreglass gives you that, a backyard that’s always ready when you are.

Westside made installing an inground pool really easy! It was great dealing with only two people (Troy for on-site matters and Cassie for permit matters) throughout the whole process and they were only ever a phone call or e-mail away. Troy even temporarily rerouted, moved and returned our rainwater tank to allow us use a bigger excavator to save on costs. I was kinda bummed they installed it so quickly - I work from home and enjoyed having them around!

Just had handover with our new pool. Seamless process throughout. Troy, Cassie & Brock were great to deal with. Always took my call or got back to me ASAP. Very happy with the final result. Still a lot to go to finish it off with concrete, paving & fencing. Would recommend to anyone.

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Westside Pool, Spas and Saunas and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Troy and Cassie went absolutely above and beyond from start to finish. Their communication was outstanding — clear, prompt, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. The whole process was seamless, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and well-managed. It also made a huge difference dealing directly with the owners, who truly care about their customers and the quality of their work. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, and genuinely customer-focused team. Thanks again Troy & Cassie!

Westside Pools, Spas and Saunas installed our pool back in 2012 and the experience was fantastic. Troy, Cassie and their team worked closely with our builder to ensure the outdoor living area flowed perfectly into the pool space, and everything came together seamlessly. More than a decade later, their service is still just as impressive. Recently Troy repaired the drain cover after we accidentally broke it, and Cassie made organising a time quick and easy with excellent communication. It’s rare to find a company that not only delivers a great result but also continues to provide such reliable and responsive service years after the installation. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them.

The quality of the build is outstanding and the attention to detail shows. If you’re looking for a team who genuinely care about their work and their clients, we can’t recommend them highly enough.

This is our second pool built by Leisure Pools Melbourne West, and I must say, Troy and Cassie have been absolutely fantastic throughout the process. Cassie's support with documentation and applications was exceptional, making what was a difficult situation with easements, council bureaucracy, and our house builder dying a smooth and straightforward process. Meanwhile, Troy's team operates like a well-oiled machine, demonstrating professionalism and an attention to detail that is truly second to none. It's rare to find such a reliable and dedicated team. Great business backed by even better people. Highly recommend!

What a team! Western Pools and Spas was recommended to us by a friend who services many of their pools. We had our handover for our pool today and from the minute we enquired, Troy, Cassie and their team have been absolutely phenomenal. Their transparency throughout the whole process in terms of timeliness, costs and requirements is second to none. We had no hidden costs, were advised of the access challenges (and associated costs) from the get go and in such a short space of time we have an amazing pool that sst eithin our budget. Every tradesperson that entered our yard was professional, tidy and respectful, answering my 100+ questions. We could not recommend Troy and the team enough to anyone who may be considering a pool. Photos to come once our landscaping is complete!

Cassie and Troy were great from the moment we spoke over the phone to the very end. Very grateful to have our pool handed over before Christmas after having the dig start December 2nd. Great communication from Cassie all the time. Great trades and labour. Troy is easy to communicate with and very helpful. Happy to answer all my questions after having no idea on how to look after the pool. Highly recommend. Many thanks guys.

Great experience with Troy and Cassie, but the proof was in the pudding when three different trades people with pool experience commented that it was one of the best fiber glass installations they'd seen and asked me for the pool company. Looking forward to the summer season now!

FAQs About Fibreglass Pools

Your Questions, Answered

How long does it take to install a fibreglass pool?

Most installations take 2 to 4 weeks from excavation to handover. The pool shell itself goes in within a day, it’s the groundwork, plumbing, electrical and finishing that takes the time. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront.

It depends on the pool size, your site and what equipment you choose. We don’t do ballpark figures over the phone, we prefer to visit your site, understand what you’re after and give you a proper quote with everything included. No surprises.

Absolutely. Several models in the Leisure Pools range come with a built-in spa already integrated into the design.  If you’d prefer a standalone option, the Capri or Amalfi spas can be installed alongside your pool and colour-matched to the same finish. Either way, it means you can swim in summer and soak in winter without leaving your backyard.

Fibreglass pools are faster to install (weeks, not months), easier to maintain, smoother on your feet and backed by lifetime warranties. They also tend to be more cost-effective over the life of the pool. Happy to talk you through the pros and cons.

Decades, when it’s done right. The Leisure Pools shells we install are built with patented Composite Armour technology and full vinyl ester resin construction, designed to handle ground movement, UV and tough Australian conditions. Unlike concrete, there’s no replastering or retiling to worry about. Every shell comes backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty and Lifetime Osmosis Warranty. Look after the water chemistry and your pool will outlast the mortgage.

It’s one of the things fibreglass does really well. The Leisure Pools range includes compact models specifically designed for tighter spaces.  A smaller pool doesn’t mean you miss out on features either, you can still get bench seating, entry steps and even swim jets for exercise.

More than you might think. Swimming is one of the best low-impact exercises for cardiovascular health, joint mobility and stress relief. Spas help with muscle recovery, improved circulation and better sleep. Infrared saunas support detoxification, relaxation and can ease chronic pain. And when you combine hot and cold therapy, like moving between a sauna and pool, you get benefits that athletes and wellness practitioners swear by. Beyond the physical, there’s the lifestyle side: more time outdoors, more quality time with family, and a reason to switch off from screens.
