They go hand in hand. Hydrotherapy is the use of water, heat and pressure to help your body feel better, and a quality spa is one of the easiest ways to get those benefits at home. The Banksia range uses precision-placed Rush jets that target specific muscle groups, giving you a genuine hydrotherapy massage without needing to visit a clinic or physio pool.

Hot and cold therapy, sometimes called contrast therapy, involves alternating between warm and cool temperatures. The heat relaxes your muscles and opens up blood vessels, while the cold helps reduce inflammation and gets your circulation pumping. If you’ve got a Banksia spa and a Redgum sauna in your backyard, you’ve got the perfect setup. Start in the sauna, cool down with a shower, then soak in the spa.

For a lot of families, yes. A swim spa gives you a current to swim against, so you get a proper swimming experience in a fraction of the space. The Banksia 4.5 is just 4.5 metres long, but the adjustable swim jets let you swim at your own pace without ever hitting a wall. They’re also heated and insulated, so you can use them all year round, and the running costs are much lower than a traditional pool.
Warm water immersion has been shown to lower cortisol, which is your body’s main stress hormone. The combination of heat, buoyancy and massage from the jets helps your body physically relax, which in turn helps calm your mind. Less than you might think. The Banksia range is designed with energy efficiency built in, using HeatLock insulation and smart filtration cycles that only use energy when needed. Running costs vary depending on how often you use it and your electricity tariff, but most customers find it comparable to running a few household appliances.
